The Internet is full of people idly complaining. This site began the same way. I've learned over the years that complaining is pointless.

It's a waste of time and energy that could be used in much better ways.
Complaining becomes habitual, meaning that it becomes harder to enjoy things.
You become that intolerable guy that whines all the time.

I stopped moaning about my job/life/etc. a long time ago. Instead, I've put my energy into creating things. Lately, these things have been art and comic related.

War On Pants has been part of my life since 2009, but it's time to move on. I've been wanting to make a webcomic for a while now, and I'm finally pulling the trigger. This will take a lot of time and effort, especially in the beginning, so I won't be able to create material for two sites. I can only put my all into only one.

I know my cat has already starred in a few Intober illustrations, but he's a black cat, it's Halloween, and he's my friend.

I'm happy with the way the mouse came out. Thankfully, the cat has never actually given me a gift like this _(yet).

The mark on the forehead and by the chin happened when I tried to erase my pencils too early. The more I do this, the more I realize why so many professions use non-photo blue pencils.

It tooks half a day to dry, but I managed to ink a flaming salamander with a bamboo brush for day twenty-eight.

This whole picture was drawn with a fountain pen. Nibs are definitely easier. I didn't think to use a brush pen until after I was already done.

I drew the outline with a G nib, but all the hatching was done with a fountain pen that I had with me while I was waiting at the train station. I was originally going to draw him running away from a Minecraft creeper until I saw tomorrow's prompt.

I drew my morning coffee. To experiment, I tried using a bamboo brush for the spot blacks. I think I like it.

I sketched and inked this without a table. Holding the sketchbook, ink bottle, and dip pen at the same time while drawing is extremely difficult. That's also why the picture is so blurry.

There is no such thing as a sad looking sloth.

The main lines are done using a G pen nib. The shading is done using a mapping nib.
