Enough Already

Back during last year's World Cup, people were annoyed by the constant droning of the vuvuzelas. People quickly looked up the frequencies that vuvuzelas generate and created notch filters for them, such as this one-line Linux command that removes them entirely while still watching the game live. It's old news, so I won't say more than that.

Similarly, there are people and stories that are much, MUCH more annoying than any vuvuzela.

Bored/annoyed engineers find ways to eliminate these things from their lives. Recently, MAKE published an article about the "Enough Already," which helps to cure exposure to these irritants. It's a quick project that will help in lieu of turning your TV off.
