Vacationing in Ontario, Canada
Waiting to cross from the States into Canada
Last weekend, my girlfriend and I went to Niagara Falls and Toronto, ON, Canada. This post is to share some of the pictures I took while we were there.
Fairmont Royal York
We stayed at the Fairmont Royal York, which is way fancier than any other hotel we've ever been at.
I enjoyed this trip from the moment I booked the room.
It seems that no matter where I go, I fix something.
Monopoly Canadian money
I don't know what this string in the shower is for. I assumed that it was to floss while showering. I don't think all of the brown on it is just from my teeth. I think it built up over time.
Only a 12-year old would laugh at this. In other news, I still have the maturity of a 12-year old.
Niagara Falls
We took a tour bus to Niagara Falls first.
It's the bicentennial of the War of 1812. The entire Niagara region was decorated to celebrate when Canada defeated the States.
The Floral Clock was pretty forgettable.
We saw a bunch of people camping by the Whirlpool, a dangerous section of rapids.
The American and Bridal Veil Falls from the dock of the Maid of the Mist
The American Falls from aboard the Maid of the Mist
I put together a few video clips that I took while on the Maid of the Mist. At first, it didn't even feel real, like I was watching a documentary. Then, when we entered the heart of the Horseshoe Falls, it was amazing! We both wanted to go to a water park afterward.
There was woman (in the background, not the foreground) taking pictures during the entire tour by holding her iPad up in the air like a book. She blocked a lot of people's cameras. Watching everyone hate this woman was a huge source of entertainment.
We didn't have enough time to walk in the Cave of the Winds, but I heard that's spectacular also.
CN Tower
We also went to the restaurant in the CN Tower.

The View From Our Table at the 360 Restaurant
The entire floor rotates every 72 minutes. It's completely worth dining here.
